Editor's Notes
General Comments:- It appears that there are too many slides. We propose keeping the talking points but reduce the number of slides. Please refer to the note on each slide.
MARTINMVRPC and Wise Economy Workshop have been teaming up to complete the last phase of MVRPC’s Going Places initiative, developing a concepual land use plan for the Miami Valley Region
Verbally emphasize Committee-led nature of development. Nothing passed through except that Committee signed off on it.
Emphasize Tool-ness. Some tools may be useful to one type of community, may be of no use to other. Goal is to build up capacity of region to act collaboratively and make wise land use decisions that help the region manage its transporation network cost-effectively.
This is a draft version but wanted to give you an idea of what we are talking about. The draft narrative in the report is:“For new tools and initiatives MVRPC will follow a standard and thorough decision making process, as illustrated below, before any action is taken. The approval of the Going Places Implementation Plan by MVRPC’s Board identifies tools that merit going to the next step of assessing how a tool would be implemented and when. Based on the assessment a decision will be made on what MVRPC will do. After agreement has been reached MVRPC will then act.”
