3. The ancient Mesopotamian’s believed in hundreds
of gods. They believed that for every person there
was a god to protect them. Like a guardian angel
or in this case guardian god. But they also had
seven major gods they were Anu/An- father of the
gods and father or the sky, Enlil- god of the
air, Utu- sun god and lord of truth and
justice, Nanna- the moon god, Inanna - the
goddess of love and war, Ninhursag- goddess of
the earth, and finally Enki- god of fresh water and
lord of wisdom and magic.

5. Like the Mesopotamian’s the Egyptian’s
believed in many gods so I will only tell you a
couple. Amun was one of the most powerful
gods in ancient Egypt. Anubis was the god of
embalming and death. Bes was the protector
of pregnant women, newborn babies and
family. Khnum was a creator god, as well as
god of the innundation. Shu held up the figure
of Nut so that the earth and the sky were
separated. Osiris was the god of the dead as
well as the underwood. Nut was the sky-
goddess, whose body created a vault or
canopy over the earth.

7. Canada has many religions. But Christianity
is the most popular. 67% of Canada is
Christian. But in Canada 24% of Canada
also have no religion. Religion is slowly
declining in Canada. However the
national anthem (in both languages) and
the Canadian Charter of Rights and
Freedoms both refer to god. Also in 1957
the parliament declared thanksgiving a
day of general thanks to god. Most
Canadian’s also celebrate Easter which is
said to be when Jesus (many Christian’s
call him “God the Son”)was resurrected
from the dead.
9. In ancient Greece they believed in many gods. But they
