2. What is…….? Greenhouse effect- is the trapping and build-up of heat in the atmosphere near the surface of Earth. Climate change- any change in measures of climate, for example temperature, precipitation, or wind, that lasts for long periods of time, like decades. Global warming- is the increase in temperature of the atmosphere near the surface of Earth.

3. How are they related? Greenhouse effect traps the heat in the atmosphere, when the heat is measured they find the climate change. Which is what they call global warming which is called global warming because it is the heat that the greenhouse gases trap. They are all increasing with the years

4. What are the primary causes of Global warming? Humans Volcanic eruptions Solar radiation

5. What are the possible consequences if we do not work to stop global warming? More intense storms More pronounced droughts Coastal areas will be severely eroded by rising seas Animals could like polar bears have no home Greater health risks In the end we could face abrupt, catastrophic and irreversible consequences

6. How is global warming impacting the economy? CO2 concentration in the atmosphere causes growth of plants to increase Farmers have a abnormal growing season The rising of cost production due to this food will result in prices rising Growing of plants could also cause productivity losses. Insects have more to feed on, severe drought, and scarcity for water could happen due to all these plants. World’s agriculture could face a serious decline within this century due to Global Warming Temperatures that are already near or above crop levels will cause them to die.

7. What are several ways we can all fight Global Warming? 1.Use Less Heat and Air Conditioning Adding insulation to your walls and attic, and installing weather stripping or caulking around doors and windows can lower your heating costs more than 25 percent, by reducing the amount of energy you need to heat and cool your home. 2.Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Do your part to reduce waste by using reusable products instead of disposables. Buying products with smaller packaging will help to reduce waste. Whenever you can, recycle paper, plastic, newspaper, glass and aluminum cans.

8. What are the basic arguments against global warming? Earth’s climate is complex and constantly changing Earth’s climate is an enormously complex system with thousands of variables in constant flux. Natural cycles of warming and cooling have existed as long as earth has had a climate. We only began to make large-scale measurements in the last 100 years, so this system is poorly understood. Attempts to halt climate change are not only costly and futile, but ignore the benefits of a warmer climate Adapting to a warmer climate has many costs, but many benefits as well. According to NASA satellite data, higher levels of CO2 have dramatically increased biomass production and biodiversity worldwide. Global warming may cause Africa to become more arid, but enormous territories in Siberia and Canada might finally be open to settlement, and new resources and shipping routes will become available Wealth, technology, and human ingenuity are our most powerful tools for dealing with change Even the most alarmist of scientists generally agree that there is little humanity can do to influence the global climate for many decades, even if we wrecked an industrial civilization that has allowed billions of people to leave immeasurably longer and better lives. Our resources would be far better spent creating innovative technology that allows us to make the best of a constantly changing climate than crippling industrial civilization in a futile attempt to stop climate change.

9. What are your personal opinions about global warming? I believe that humans do have a big impact on the atmosphere, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing. I think we need to use the warmth to our advantage, and try to reduce the co2 we put into the atmosphere.
