Basic Concepts on Integrating
  Technology in Instruction
EdTech 2

Integrating technology with teaching means
the use of learning technologies to introduce,
reinforce, supplement and extend skills… the
difference between the classroom of
exemplary users of technology and technology
users is the way their classes are conducted.
In the exemplary classrooms, student use
computers is woven integrally into the
patterns of teaching; software is a natural
extension of student tools.

                     Page  2
Ms. Cruz wants to show photos in her
Social Studies class, but the pictures are
                 small…
She decides to use the computer,
scan the photos for a computer
    projection to the class…

                                   4
Ms. Dela Cruz thinks it is tedious to do
 paper-and-pen Match worksheets.
She decides to use the computer to put the
    worksheets into a spreadsheet form.

She then asked students to
  submit their completed
worksheet to her by e-mail.
Geography teacher, Mr. Obispado finds it
difficult to motivate his students to learn about
                 other countries.

                                                7
His supervisor suggested an instructional simulation
software in which students play detectives to solve
mysteries related to geography. Mr. Obispado used the
computer-based material, also designed worksheets and
question-answer sheets to find out the students’ experience
in the learning process.

                                                       8
Mr. Odicta uses a computer bases Trigonometry
software, projected to the class using a projector
to supplement her teacher centered class
                   presentation

                       Page  9
English teacher, Ms. Edrosolano, used computer-
based activities (software) which students can got
           through during library time.

                      Page  10
Mr. Borja asks his students to find information on Dengue
in the internet. Students are to create an information
leaflet giving a family health advisory on Dengue.

                          Page  11
The Araullo National High School has a
partner-school in Iligan City National High
School. A joint project allows both schools to
  exchange information on Peacetech. Video
conferencing is held involving students of both
                    schools.
Thank You !!!
