The Biggest Probable Cause for Your Failure
You've tried and tried to manage your time at home better.
How interested would you be if I said I know why... despite all your valiant efforts... you've failed to see significant results?
It can be summed up in one word... Action.
You see, all the information in the world... regardless of how useful it is... is worthless until you actually put it into action.
Information for information's sake is absolutely worthless. Nothing ever got invented or done by thinking alone. (Imagine Bill Gates thinking about creating a personal computer.) It's only when you take that great information... that awesome idea... and actually put it into practice that you'll see awesome results.
So what's the solution?
When you find something that sounds like it's just what you need to fix something in your life go ahead and figure out how you can integrate it into your life before that excitement and motivation can dampen.
If it's something that will require time, and/or steps, then go ahead and figure them out too.
For instance, you read an article that teaches how to eliminate mealtime madness by creating menus based on your family's preferences. You get excited thinking about how this will simplify your life and solve a problem you've struggled with for years.
Take an hour and figure out how you can accomplish this task. Plan some time into your day/week in order to put what you learn into practice. Know that it will require some upfront time but think of how much it will save in the future.

2. You've tried and tried to manage your time at home better.
You've read the self-help books and researched the organizing
websites.
You've talked with your got-it-going-on friends and watched the
same shows they do.
You've listened to the experts and joined the blogs and still your
life...as far as home time management is concerned... is pretty
much the same as it was a year ago... 5 years ago... even 10
years ago.

5. How many times have you heard of a solution and it was like a light
bulb went off in your head.
You thought... "Now here is what's going to change my life," or
"That's what's going to work so good," or "That's the greatest idea
ever"!
Then.... what did you do?
Did you rush to figure out how to implement it in your life?
Or...
Did you do nothing?

6. I'd guess... from your lack of success this far... that
your usual plan of inaction would be to make a mental
note (maybe even a physical note), talk to your
spouse and kids about how it could change your lives
for the better, and tell your friends and family.
But that's as far as it went.
Sound familiar?
