1. A message to the
Murphy School District
Governing Board
2.
3. Although I could not be present at the board
meeting; I did want to express some concerns I
have as an employee in the Murphy School District.
4. I was greatly saddened and disappointed
when I saw the news broadcast on Dr. Mohr.
5. Dr. Mohr is a grown man who runs our schools and
makes decisions for our children. Because of his
choices, I am concerned for the future of our
district, and our children.
6. We teach our kids to become contributing members
of society; to make good choices. However, by
allowing Dr. Mohr to continue as a LEADER of this
district we are upholding a double-standard for our
children and families.
7. We let go a great number of wonderful teachers
last year due to the fact that their credentials to
be in the classroom were not met.
8. Yet, if we let a Superintendent to continue in
his position when his credentials are not met
and have not been met for the past 5 years,
what are we saying?
9. We will be saying that: the rule of many is not
the rule for one because of his leadership role.
10. All standards for professionalism should be
the same across the board, no matter if you
are a teacher, and Instructional Assistant or
the Superintendent of our district.
11. I am ashamed of Dr. Mohr’s actions. I feel he
disrespected his community of colleagues,
families, and children.
12. I will feel even more ashamed and
disrespected if this is swept under the rug
and consequences are not given where they
well need to be.
13. We need a Superintendent we can trust. One
we can respect. This person is no longer Paul
Mohr.
