4. EVALUATION CRITERIA
Here is a summary:
⢠Listening 15% 2-3 tests / term
⢠Reading 15%
(PAU Exam tests and Readerâs tests 1st & 2nd term)
⢠Grammar & Vocabulary 20% 1 test / term
⢠Speaking 25% 2 tasks / term*
(*If you speak English in class: 5%)
⢠Writing 25% 1 test / term
(3 compositions: 1 at home and 1 in class (50%) and the test (50%))
5. Some considerations
Term marks and end-of year final mark will be rounded up and
down taking into account:
⢠work in class and at home
⢠interest and effort: participation in class, speaking English, optional exercises, âŚ
⢠teamwork
⢠attendance and punctuality, good behaviour, complying class and school rules
⢠donât drink and donât eat in class. (Do it during break time!)
Really important:
⢠explain and justify your absences to the teacher (in advance or when return)
⢠late-comings and non attending lessons will be penalized up to 10%.
⢠exams will not be repeated on another date. In emergency cases, the parentâs phone
call is compulsory, together with the doctorâs certificate.
⢠all electronic devices must be switched off and kept inside the schoolbag, not inside
your pocket!
