1. Mid-term Review Assignments
Directions: Students may choose any four assignments from below. You
may use your notes and any other materials you have to complete the
assignments. Do not select assignments that are on the same topic.
Create a Graffiti Wall of FDR’s New Deal programs. Be sure to list the
agencies and their purposes. Also include which groups the agencies are
designed to help/provide relief for.
Create a Graffiti Wall of the Roaring 20s. Be sure to list consumer products
as well as artists, authors, writers, and entertainment that became popular
during this time period.
Use your notes /book to take a position on whether or not the United
States should have dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. You
will need to research the topic first BEFORE YOU TAKE A POSITION. On the
Scales of Justice, list both reasons for and against dropping the bomb. You
must have a minimum of 5 reasons on each side.
Complete the Frayer Model on the Great Depression.
Complete a Graffiti Wall on the ways that the U. S. mobilized for war during
WWII. Be sure to include war production, minorities, Great Migration,
rationing,..etc.
Complete the Frayer Model on FDR’s New Deal.
Complete the Frayer Model on the Roaring 20s.
Complete a Graffiti Wall on TVA. Be sure to include the areas that it
benefitted and how it affected Tennessee specifically.
Write a essay on Prohibition. Be sure to include reasons legislators and
citizens supported it and opposed it, the effects banning liquor had on
society as a whole, and any other examples of significant leaders or events
that became popular as a result of the ban on liquor.
Create a Graffiti Wall on Stalin and his rise to power in Russia.
Create a Grafitti Wall on Mussolini in Hitler.
2. Complete a Justification sheet on whether or not you think the U. S. should
have entered WWII officially. Be sure to list reasons for and against on the
scales of Justice before you declare your position.
