5. Vision
Our clients need to deliver products or subassemblies that
are simply better in order to stay ahead of the competition
and at the forefront of the market.
At Hauck Heat Treatment we use our know-how and
expertise to add to your innovative power, allowing you to
further distinguish your offering from the competition’s and
thus secure future contracts.
We are eager to help you push the requirements of
individual components and production processes.
6. “Best-in-class is not about our core technologies
but about our commitment to do everything we
can to make our clients successful”
-Marcus Wendel
Executive Director of Hauck Heat Treatment
16. Hauck Heat
Treatment
Offering
We commit ourselves to the highest quality, not just in
the treatment of your products but also in the way we
treat you; our valued customer. We always work in
close cooperation with our clients and are able to tailor
our processes to your specific requirements, wherever
you are…
Our 27 locations in 7 European countries can
offer hundreds of different heat treatments based
on 5 core technologies.
17.
18. Thermal processes are all Heat
Treatment processes which only
involve heating of the products
to be treated. With these
processes we are able to
optimize the mechanical
properties of the products.
Most of the treatments in this
section are hardening treatments
which increase the hardness of
the core of the product.
THERMAL
PROCESSES
Hardening & tempering, Annealing, Sub-Zero
19. Thermochemical processes are
Heat Treatments which in
addition to heating of the
products also involve a chemical
diffusion process.
With these treatments we are
able to harden products at the
surface only which results in a
combination of high wear
resistance at the surface and a
ductile/tough core.
THERMO-
CHEMICAL
PROCESSES
Carburizing, Carbonitriding, Nitriding,(Oxi-)Nitrocarburizing,
Nitrotec®, Stainihard®, Stainitec
20. At Hauck Heat Treatment we are
able to provide several brazing
processes fitted to your
requirements. The brazing
processes are joining processes
where parts are connected in a
high-quality manner by fusing
with brazing material.
Typically the strength of the
brazed connection exceeds that
of the base material.
BRAZING
High Temperature / Vacuum Brazing, Belt Furnace Brazing,
Induction Brazing, Aluminium Brazing
21. Thin layer processes such as PVD
and CVD processes are done in a
wide temperature range. From
approximately 80°C (PVD) to
approximately 1000°C (CVD),
thin coatings are applied to the
products.
The thickness of the film varies
from a few nanometres to
several micrometres. A wide
variety of high performance
properties can be imparted.
THIN LAYER
PROCESSES
Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD),
Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD)
22. Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP), or
‘Hipping’, is the simultaneous
application of heat and high
pressure to materials. A HIP unit
consists of a high temperature
furnace enclosed within a pressure
vessel.
Work pieces are heated under a
uniform, isostatic pressure of inert
Argon gas. The result is elimination
of internal voids (i.e. porosity) and
improved microstructure.
