2. How effective is the combination of your
main product and ancillary texts?
 I think the combination of my
main product and ancillary text
was effective as I made sure that
some of the outfits were the same
in our music video and our
digipak. I kept some of the outfits
the same outfit as I wanted the
audience to realise the song by
the colour, she was wearing. The
main colour in our video was pink.
We kept this consistent as the
album cover was pink, advert was
pink, Nicki Minaj was wearing pink
and the some parts of the video
were pink too. Pink also reflects
Nicki Minaj as pink is seen to be
very feminine. This is effective as
the colour pink is bright and
stands out. Pink was also seen on
the advert cover as well.
Our main artist was also in
every image on the digipak
to emphasise that the
album is about her and by
her. I used different images
from different angles for the
various sides of the digipak.
Having different angles for
various sides of the digipak
a bit more exciting and
makes the fan have more
images of their artist.
I used mid shots in the
digipak to show that the
artist is centre of attention.
This relates to our music
video which shows mid-
shots of our artist/s.

 Some of the poses on the
digipak are similar to some
of the movements in the
video. We wanted to keep
some of the poses and
dance movements similar as
we thought this make the
audience identify particular
moves which will make the
audience feel more involved
in the album and song.
 The word ‘CANDY’ and the
colour pink on our digipak
reinforces the idea of having
fun and being colourful in
our music video.

How effective is the combination of your main

How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?  I think the combination of my main product and ancillary text was effective as I made sure that some of the outfits were the same in our music video and our digipak. I kept some of the outfits the same outfit as I wanted the audience to realise the song by the colour, she was wearing. The main colour in our video was pink. We kept this consistent as the album cover was pink, advert was pink, Nicki Minaj was wearing pink and the some parts of the video were pink too. Pink also reflects Nicki Minaj as pink is seen to be very feminine. This is effective as the colour pink is bright and stands out. Pink was also seen on the advert cover as well.
