2. Doctors report more and more of their patients
are coming in with questions about medical
cannabis:
– Can it help my migraines?
– Can it help my anxiety?
– My chronic pain?
3. It’s easy for us to say,
“Yes! Everyone should be able to use cannabis
to see if helps their condition!”
But, alas, the government and most heath
practitioners don’t see it that way.
4. 10
However, there are many
conditions that respond
extremely well to cannabis
treatment. Here are
5. Epilepsy
There is overwhelming anecdotal evidence that cannabis
is unrivaled in its beneficial effect on Epileptic
seizures. The cases are so compelling that the American
Epilepsy Foundation recently released a statement
“call[ing] for an end to Drug Enforcement
Administration (DEA) restrictions that limit clinical
trials and research into medical marijuana for
epilepsy.”
6. Chronic Pain
Underscoring the
efficacy of cannabis
for treatment,
chronic pain
syndrome is included
on the qualifying
condition lists of
every state that has a
medical cannabis
program.
7. Fibromyalgia
A study of 1,300 fibromyalgia patients
conducted by the National Pain
Foundation and National Pain Report
found that medical cannabis is far better
at treating symptoms than any of the 3
most widely prescribed FDA approved
drugs.
8. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
The most common treatments
for PTSD are the anti-
depressants or anti-
psychotics, but these carry
serious side-effects (including
suicide in extreme cases) and
very low levels of success.
However, scores of people
suffering from PTSD report
significant relief from
cannabis.
9. Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Scientist doing research
on alternative
treatments for MS
found that cannabis
was the only thing
that worked.
The reductions in some
patients tremors
after using cannabis
are remarkable.
10. Migraines
Until 1942 cannabis
was the standard
treatment for
migraines.
Cannabis has anti-
inflammatory and
analgesic properties
and is mild vasodilator
that can lower blood
pressure and can help
to ward of nausea.
11. Crohn’s Disease
• Crohn’s Disease
effects the
gastrointestinal (GI)
tract and can cause
pain, fever, fatigue,
diarrhea, loss of
appetite and overall
discomfort, among
other things.
• Researchers in Tel
Aviv found significant
reductions in the
need for both
medication and
surgery for those
patients who used
medical cannabis to
treat Symptoms of
Crohn's Disease.
12. Glaucoma/Iritis
Iritis is an inflammation of the eye’s iris, which, if gone
untreated, can lead to glaucoma or blindness. Cannabis
relieves pressure on the eye that causes Iritis.
13. Cancer
• Many cancer patients
who are going through
chemotherapy use
cannabis to
successfully combat
nausea and loss of
appetite.
• There is also some
evidence that cannabis
can effectively kill
cancer cells.
