Earlier this year non-profit organization, ISIS, devoted to the improvement of sexual health among young people, issued a call that was responded to over 13,000 times. They wanted to know what information (or rather misinformation) young people were receiving about sexual health from the adults in their lives. The Say What ?!? Contest in collaboration with MTV, Say Now and Funny or Die exposed a number of humorous stories but ones that had serious implications on the sexual development of young people. These stories were then used to convey to both young people and adults that these messages should be considered to be less than a laughing matter and to teach how accurate sexual heath information can be shared. Through youthsourcing ISIS developed instant dialogue with young people and created an entertaining way to open up conversation among both educators and youth.
