Club drugs are associated with nightclubs, concerts, and all-night dance parties. Common club drugs include Ecstasy, GHB, Rohypnol, and ketamine. These drugs can cause dangerous short-term effects like confusion, anxiety, and blackouts, and long-term effects include permanent brain damage, respiratory failure, and death. Teens and young adults often attend "raves" where they are exposed to club drugs that they mistakenly believe are harmless.

8. Everything started with potBillâs Story Bill was 12 years old when he first tried marijuana. One day at school, one of the cool kids asked him to go over to there house and smoke pot. Everyone wanted to be in the cool crowd, so he was definitely up to it. Unfortunately, that one invitation to experiment led Bill on a slow descent into smoking at a friendâs house before and after school. In no time, he was smoking every chance he could.
9. Billâs Story In the tenth grade, Bill moved on to harder drugs. He went straight from pot to Ecstasy. Once he started doing club drugs, he did anything he could get his hands on. He did acid, mushrooms, nitrous oxide, special K, cocaine, and methamphetamines. At first, Bill and his friends would attend raves at lest once a week. Soon, however, one night of partying turned into an entire weekend of debauchery. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night theyâd drive anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours to find a rave and do drugs, making rides home perilous journey.
10. Billâs Story For a long time, Bill was successfully able to hide his drug use from his mom. He told her that he was staying at a friends house, was going on a camping trip, or something. His mom has always been really trusting so she gave him quite a bit of leeway and at that age youâre changing quite a bit, anyway, so itâs kind of hard to notice changes in behavior (caused by drug use). But when Bill became hooked on methamphetamines, his life started unraveling quickly. He started to shoplift merchandise in hardware stores and return the stolen items for cash in order to support his habit of drug use.
