  • 4. Why map our curriculum? Instructional Excellence MURSD Strategic Goals- • Align all K-12 ELA and Math curriculum to the Common Core Standards using a common, clear template. Why else should we map our curriculum?

Steps to Implementation Stages Actions Awareness: Know it Learn about the Common Core Standards, Backwards Design, and Curriculum Mapping Application and Experimentation: Try it Begin mapping the curriculum using the online database. Use common planning time to collaborate on curriculum design. Ownership: Own it, Believe it Embed curriculum review into everyday practice. Use assessments to reflect on skills/content/standard.
