General Highlights
 Diane Shore’s author visit was a success. She spoke to all grade-levels
and sold over fifty copies of her books, as well as handed out order forms
      to all teachers.
 The History and Geography section of the collection was weeded. Over
thirty texts were taken out of the collection due to publication date,
damage, bias, and content not aligning to the Georgia Performance
      Standards.
 A book order of $600 was placed for the History and Geography section to
replenish the books that were weeded and fill in gaps found in the
curriculum after a review of the Georgia Performance Standards.
 Fulfilled a number of teacher requests including:
          o Books containing folk tales
          o Revolutionary War resources
o CRCT instructional/practice materials and resources
 Assisted all grade levels with signing up their classes for a free trial on the
      IXL math website.
 Distributed a reference wiki to grades 3-5 to act as a reference
     supplement for teachers and students.
 Began re-modeling the media center website to include highlights from the
2009-2010 school year, as well as overall updated information.

Future Plans
 Collaborate with teachers on current units they are teaching in order to
create lesson and resource lists to help in successful academic
     achievement of all students.
 Implement several professional development units to teach how to use
and create wiki’s within the classroom as an instructional and resource
     tool.
 Re-arrange the non-fiction section to make it more user friendly for all
     students.
