11. What makes weather? Water Fronts meet Results: Warm air moves up, while cold air moves down. When two masses meet the cold air will sink, and push the warm air up and over it Water will make cooler air, which meets warmer air over land, pushing it up. This can cause air to move (wind), or when warm air is pushed up over a cold front, it causes storms
