The Movable Scaffolding System - MSS:




The MSS was first designed in close co-operation with
Norwegian contractors in the 1970's.
The system has since then been developed and successfully used

in various major bridge projects in Scandinavia and world wide.
The Movable Scaffolding System - MSS:




The design of our advanced equipment has been improved and
optimized over the years, based on our wealth of experience
from over 100 projects.
The system is light weight, easy to assemble, practical in design,
supported by hydraulic and cranage systems, and most          4
importantly, efficient in operation.
The Movable Scaffolding System - MSS:

  The design & flexibility:




The MSS can also easily be adapted to any bridge cross section
(single box, double box, double T, etc.) and span configuration.
This flexibility provides the contractor the opportunity to re-use
the equipment from one project to another.

Self-launching MSS
• NRS is the first in the world to develop the Self-
  launching MSS (SL-MSS) in order to solve the
  problems related to the difficulties in handling
  pier support brackets over water as well as on
  high piers. This system is able to transfer
  forward and mount the pier support brackets
  without any need of an independent crane. The
  SL-MSS has been successfully used in the
  construction of several major bridge projects
  worldwide and is widely sought after due to its
  cost and operational efficiency.
                                                       17
Problems, limitation of the existing
           equipment in general
• Cycle time is considerable longer. Approximately
  50% longer than the new developing MSS.
• Cannot delivery the whole Rebar cage in one
  time.
• Need many block-outs in the superstructure.
• Need hanging bars passing through the
  superstructure deck to support the formwork.
• Other equipments are needed for relocate the
  supports.
• Operation work is considerable complicated and

  more manpower are needed.

Approximately 50% longer than the new developing MSS. • Cannot delivery the whole Rebar cage in one time. • Need many block-outs in the superstructure. • Need hanging bars passing through the superstructure deck to support the formwork. • Other equipments are needed for relocate the supports. • Operation work is considerable complicated and 18 more manpower are needed.
