  1. Go to www.twitter.com and set up your account. Follow the prompts, it’s easy.Check out people who are tweeting about what you are interested in – you can begin by going to search.twitter.com. Once you are comfortable with this platform, simply Google “how to find people on twitter” and you will find hundreds of APIs that can help you find people who are tweeting in your area, people by profession, Twitter “phonebooks” and more.So join the conversation. You do not always have to answer, “what are you doing?” If you find an interesting article and want to share it – do it! Find someone who’s content you really like? Retweet them – it’s one of the greatest compliments.To keep your twitter profile interesting – make sure you update at least once per day. It’s so important.70/20/10 rule keeps your profile relevant, maintains your followers and helps you get new ones. 70 percent is providing relevant information, 20% collaborations and building relationships, and 10% chit chat.
