- 6. However, the classroom of the 21st century needs so much more than technology.
- 7. Teachers still will need to support and monitor how these students use technology in order to rip the maximum benefits
- 9. All students must have equal access to technology (both at home with funded programs and in schools)
- 10. Students must be challenged with activities that tap into their motivation and interests.
- 11. Students must have differentiating instructions where all learning levels could be accommodated and challenged.
- 13. Classrooms are rigid places where students are punished constantly for misbehavior.
- 14. Students have lost motivation and/or are unable to access the curriculum
- 15. State curriculum covered too much material that can’t possibly be taught in 1 school year.
- 16. Therefore, the lack of meaningful and culturally diversified content
- 17. Students’ learning is only access via standardized summative tests which excludes assessments for kinesthetic learners
- 18. The lack of innovative and up-to-date technology infrastructure in our schools
- 19. The lack of technology training for educators and students.
- 20. The lack of motivation to use technology
- 22. Teach students to work collaboratively and become critical thinkers and active participants of their learning.
- 23. Become a teacher researcher to acquire a better understanding of your students’ learning and needs.
- 24. Learn classroom management techniques and implement behavioral intervention when needed.
- 25. Offer positive reinforcement to your students – catch them being good and recognize this. Use punishment sparingly.
- 26. Offer extrinsic and intrinsic values to increase students’ motivation. This can help with students’ behavior and lesson attainment.
- 27. Diversified and differentiate your instruction method to make it accessible to kinesthetic learners and to students at different learning levels
- 28. Create a support team to identify those students at risk. Contribute to ideas to create early intervention programs.
