Conducted Product Cliniquing to the members of
Mag Negosyo Ta Day (MTD) on March 7, 2012 at the
Sangguniang Panlungsod Launch, Davao City. It was
attended by seven (7) group beneficiaries of MTD and 19
product prototypes were presented to Ms. Leny Castillo and
Ms. Juvey Fernandez, members of DTI XI Designers Pool.

10. MFO 1 Launching of Davao City Pasalubong Center
The Pasalubong Center of Davao City has finally put into
reality yesterday, March 15, 2012. This is Davao’s way on
presenting its products to the tourist and Davao residents as well.
Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio led the cutting of the ribbon to open
the center with Councilors Braga and Daludo, Dra. Malou
Monteverde of Davao City Chamber of Commerce & Industry and
Dir. Lou Pasawa of the Department of Trade & Industry.

handicrafts, processed food and preservatives, jewelries, assistance and
Davao Fashioned Shirts. The new pasalubong center is located at Palma Gil
Street beside the People’s Park.

Ordinance No. 0355-07. The accreditation body composed
of the LGU, Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry,

15. MFO 3 Access to Financing
Through the assistance of DTI-CARP Davao City
Field Office another project being assisted has been approved for
funding - Banana Powder Processing Project of Subasta Agrarian
Reform
Beneficiaries Cooperative (SARBAC). The Department of
Agriculture, through the City Agriculturist Office, approved a total
amount of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos(P200,000.00) for the
Drying Pavement.

17. MFO 4 Consumer Welfare Desk Seminar
The seminars aim to make CWDOs gain an appreciation of
their roles in their establishments and to equip them with the
knowledge of important fair trade laws and regulations needed in
performing their function. This is a support activity to MFO 432
CWD Establishment and Strengthening. The seminars also aim to
get a satisfaction rating of 4 by at least 75% of the participants.
The seminar was participated by a total of 31 consumer welfare
desks officers.
18. MFO 5 Good Governance
To enhance capability and intensify effectiveness of the
Internal Quality Audit of DTI XI, a Refresher Training Course on
Internal Quality Audit with Effective Audit Reporting was
conducted a Grand Menseng Hotel last March 12-13, 2012. Ms.
Helen Alian-Evalle of TUV SUD Philippines shared her expertise and
techniques in conducting Internal Quality Audit. The said training
were participated by the following personnel of DCFO to wit;
Robert Barlis, Gelyn Sanchez, Marie Ann Darato, Paciente Cubillas,
and Michelle V. Balisi.
19. MFO 5 Good Governance
Last March 22-23, 2012 a Seminar on the Revised IRR of GPRA
9184 was attended by the following personnel of DCFO namely ;
Amy Lumasag, Robert Barlis, Lilia Silda, Exe Fernandez and Nadia
Jamayo. The purpose of the seminar is to update employees on
the amendments of the revised IRR of the Government
Procurement Republic Act 9184.
20. MFO 5 Good Governance
Skills Upgrading Seminar on Root Cause Analysis was
conducted last March 29-30, 2012 at Grand Menseng Hotel. The
objective of the seminar is to enhance skills of DTI XI personnel on
the various methods of root cause analysis. The resource person
formerly a DTI employee Mr. Aurelio Ebita shared the 5 methods
of root cause analysis, how to make a corrective action plan and
preventive action plan. He also gave an overview of the elements
of the Quality
