DEVELOPING IDEAS WITH IMAGES We'll spend a little time looking back on any use of Scratch on placement. This lecture explores a number of approaches to computer generated art, including logo, fractals, rendering, dynamic geometry and vector graphics. You'll have opportunity to experiment with a range of the tools demonstrated. FOLLOW-UP • Spend more time exploring some of these tools for yourself, uploading examples of your creative work to Blogfolio. • Continue the development of your project; consider using image software to enhance or replace the backgrounds and/or sprites used in your project. • Spend some time in the school experience section of the library, and bring in one non-fiction book written for primary school pupils which you feel exemplifies good design. • Read at least chapters 6 and 11 of Williams (2004), The non-designer’s design book.
