Collaborative documents and websites – wikis
How wikis can be used as a medium for children’s
 writing
Creating content for a shared wiki exploring elements
 of children’s literature
1. Set high expectations which inspire, motivate
and challenge pupils
  establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils,
  rooted in mutual respect
2. Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
  encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious
  attitude to their own work and study.
4. Plan and teach well structured lessons
  promote a love of learning and children’s intellectual
  curiosity
English
   using further organisational and presentational devices
    to structure text and guide the reader
   assessing the effectiveness of their own and others’
    writing
   proposing changes to grammar, vocabulary and
    punctuation to enhance effects and clarify meaning
ICT:
   Understand computer networks including the Internet;
    how they can provide multiple services, such as the
    Web; and the opportunities it offers for communication
    and collaboration.

  • 3. Collaborative documents and websites – wikis How wikis can be used as a medium for children’s writing Creating content for a shared wiki exploring elements of children’s literature
  • 4. 1. Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect 2. Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study. 4. Plan and teach well structured lessons promote a love of learning and children’s intellectual curiosity
  • 5. English  using further organisational and presentational devices to structure text and guide the reader  assessing the effectiveness of their own and others’ writing  proposing changes to grammar, vocabulary and punctuation to enhance effects and clarify meaning ICT:  Understand computer networks including the Internet; how they can provide multiple services, such as the Web; and the opportunities it offers for communication and collaboration.
