2. Astronomy wasn’t the most popular hobby in the last years in Poland, but it
becomes more popular than other different and oryginal hobbies in Poland
at the moment. In the future perhaps Poland will be one of the most popular
„astronomical institution” in the world. We have been in ESO (Europen South
Observatory) for three years. We have got a lot of astronomical organization.
3. Astronomical Organizations
For example I recommend one of this Organizations I think that the best Polish
astronomical Organizations: it’s PTMA(„Polskie Towarzystwo Miłośników
Astronomii”). I belong to the PTMA and I would like to tell you how astronomy
is developing in Poland.
4. Popular Magazines
There is a lot of popular magazines about astronomy. My favorites are :
„Urania-Postępy Astronomii”
„Astronomia”
These magazines show a lot of interesting things. I’m sure that they are the
most interesting magazines in Poland.
5. Polish astronomical literature
My favourite books about astronomy are:
„Niebo na weekend” written by Przemysław Rudź.
„Astronomia Przewodnik” written by Will Gater and Vamplew .
„Na własne oczy” written by Andrzej Branicki . He belong to PTMA.
„Mini -poradnik astronomiczny” written by one of the most popular
astronomical instytution : Delta Optical.
„Poradnik Miłośnika Astronomii” written by Marek Substyk. He belongs to
the PTMA too!
„Polskie planetoidy, asteroidy, planetki” written by Paweł Szulc.
6. Observatory in Poland
Poland has got a lot of observatories . I have visited some of them, for
example :
1. „Planetarium i Obserwatorium Astronomiczne im. Mikołaja Kopernika”, in
Chorzów.
2.” Planetarium i Obserwatorium Astronomiczne imienia Mikołaja Kopernika”,
in Grudziądz.
3.” Planetarium Wyższej Szkoły Morskiej „ in Gdynia .
4. „Planetarium astronomiczne Sky”, in Kamieniec.
