12. CURB MASSAPEQUA PARK Curb : is the edge where a raised pavement/sidewalk/footpath meets an unraised street or other roadway. Curbs guide water, into storm drains so that it doesn’t gather on road also keeps vehicles on the road .

14. CURB CUT RAMP ROOSEVELT AVEMASS PARK Curb Cut Ramp: slope from sidewalk to roadway placed at street intersections. Used to ease passage to the street for pedestrians bicycles, strollers, carts, and physically disabled people. Curb cut ramps blend smoothly down from a sidewalk to a street, rather than abruptly ending with a curb and dropping roughly 4–6 inches.
