3. The Summary The four Penderwick sisters, Rosalind age 12, Batty age 4, Skye age 11 , and Jane age 10, go on a vacation to Arundel in the summer. Along the way they meet Harry the tomato man who helps them continue on their way. When they find Arundel they are shocked. It’s like a big mansion with the cottage they’re staying at out back. They meet a boy named Jeffrey who has a mother who is obsessed with her garden. Mrs. Tifton, Jeffery’s mom, is considering marrying a man who is not necessarily considered nice. His name is Dexter.

5. The Penderwicks Dog The Penderwicks own a dog named Hound. Hound is a black lab Hound totally adores Batty. He seems to know what she's thinking. When batty runs away Hound comes and sniffs her out.
