8. Bridge program student holds a two-year college
degree, and is seeking advancement in their
profession by obtaining a four-year or graduate
degree.
Duration of the Course
The duration of the course shall be two academic
years. However, those with prior learning who
wish to enrol assessment of credentials and skills
will be made to establish the competency
according to school policy.
9. The Bachelor of Science in Midwifery will best
prepare the student midwife through
extensive clinical practicum to face her
responsibilities in the care of mothers and
children; handling normal deliveries; early
detection of complications, early institution
of emergency measures in the absence of a
specialist and timely referral.

& Nutrition Scale-up (CMSU)
GOAL
▪ To enhance midwives’ clinical skills and organizational management
capacity towards expanding delivery of quality family planning and (FP)
and maternal, neonatal, child health and nutrition (MNCHN) services
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
1. Improve the clinical skills and practices of midwives in crucial
FP/MNCHN services
2. Expand midwives’ service delivery capacity in order to increase families’
access to FP/MNCHN services
3. Strengthen midwives associations’ organizational and management
capacities
