3. Arrange the schedule of your thesis defense. Make sure that all panelists are available. Make the proper reservations. Inform your thesis coordinator of the venue, date and time.
4. Give a copy of your thesis to the panelists at least one week before the defense.
5. Don’t forget to give the evaluation forms to your panelists together with your thesis.

20. Don’t go beyond 45 minutes in your presentation. Remember, your panel has already read your thesis. The most essential parts of your presentation are your overview and the most important findings of your study.
21. Defense does not mean to be defensive. You don’t have to defend your thesis “to the death.” To “defend” your thesis means to justify the decisions you have made in choosing the variables and methods of your study. No one can make a perfect study; there is always room for improvement. Don’t be defensive.
22. Show full knowledge of the topic Evidence that you conducted the research Cite specific experts to support your viewpoint
23. Record the comments and suggestions of the panelists. You can also ask a classmate to write down the comments.
25. Show your appreciation for the help of your panelists by giving them some snacks and thanking them after the defense

27. Consult with your adviser, bringing the copy of comments. Show your revised thesis to your thesis coordinator and adviser.

29. Submit to your thesis coordinator for a final review Show your final thesis (unbound copy) with approval sheet to thesis coordinator. After thesis coordinator has signed the approval sheet, let the adviser and panelist sign.
30. Submit your final revised thesis in a digital form(3 CDs) and in hard bound form. Submit your self/peer evaluation forms. Deadline is October 5, 2011, 5:00 p.m.
32. In fairness to those who defended and submitted their thesis on time, the highest grade received for those who are late is 3.5. The longer the delay, the lower the grade will be. You should all be finished a week before the last day of enrolment or the last day for completion of INCs.
33. If you cannot meet the deadline for the completion of INCs, you need to enroll: If you were supposed to graduate in October 2011, you will have to enroll in Thesis Direction and pay for the other fees. You will be able to graduate in March 2012. If you are graduating in March 2012 or later, you need to enroll in Thesis Direction. Your grade for PY 111 for this semester will be “in progress” You cannot graduate with Latin honors or be an area awardee.
