Chapter 2 General information of the product
2.1 Brief introduction of the product
This new take-up roller is especially designed for users who require
high efficiency and convenient performance. It is quite practical and easy to
operate. With good bearing and flexible width adjustment, it offer you
flexible and swift printing! Besides, it is easy to setup and use. People
without any special skills can handle it freely, meeting various demands of
any user.
2.2 Instruction for specialty and specification
2.2.1 Applicable Machine
It is applicable for all Series of Roland Pro II III IV.
2.2.2 Main characters
It has unique design with Roland ledge of stand as its sliding track and
strong bearing.
It can adjust media width flexibly with slide roller.
It is easy to handle.
It is suitable for media of 2”/3” inner diameter
It can be inductive take-up by rolls with sensor or handled by hands

3.1 Choosing working environment
In order to keep the take-up roller operating stably, a suitable working
environment should be chosen, which should have requirements as follows:
Avoid too moist and too much dust
Avoid using the same power supply with other wiring so as to keep
stable power supply
Ensure the using voltage meet demands as required
3.2 Checking
Open the carton carefully, and check if all parts in the carton are in
accordance with those of the following table

3.3 Setting up

This picture is the fixed configuration sketch map of the take-up roller.
Following is the detailed steps of setting up the take-up roller:
Step1: disassemble the bottom plate of left part and the right part of the
take-up roller.

Step2: fix the disassembled roller part on the middle ledge （ Arrowhead in
diagram for install the direction of bolt，The bolt of usage dismantles the bolt of solution for
the square one）

Step3: make sure the both part of roller are fixed in the right place on the
ledge: first fix the right part roller: you can insert the small limiting-plate (metal
sheet) in right of the ledge, then move the right-part of roller to the right side
and have the handle-screws fixed. (If media is far away of zero limits line,
you can moving the right-part roller directly to an appropriate place and
having the handle-screws fixed);
Then, after fixing one side of the media scroll on the right side, move the
left part of roller and fix the side of the media scroll and have the screws
fixed.

Handle tight bolt
Step4: fix the Infrared ray sensor: plug the tie -in of the Infrared ray sensor into
the control box (right-part of roller), with the head of the Infrared ray sensor
facing the paper (The arrow in the picture shows the direction). The Infrared
ray sensor should be placed within the scope of the scroll of the media.
(Otherwise the location of the media will not be detected)

do not totally represent actual product, please refer to the actual
products as standard.

Chapter 4: Instruction
4.1 Instruction
First adjust the right part of take-up roller to an appropriate place and
have the screws fixed. Please refer to the following picture.
Pull out the left part of take-up roller and insert the paper scroll in the
right take-up roller. Then adjust the left take-up roller and have he screws
fixed.
Turn on the power button and get the power supply. Please press the
bottom of “up and down” to adjust the placement of the media.
