a. Drawing what you currently see in the
community
b. Then every 1 minute, in your table group,
turn the manila paper once clockwise and
continue drawing. Do this until you are back
in with the original side.

c. Then move your Manila paper to the next
table group (clockwise), so that you have
another group’s manila Paper.
d. Now using comics call outs, write the words
that you hear in the community.
e. Do as in Task 1a (turning Manila paper
clockwise every minute)

f. Move again the manila paper to the next
group (clockwise) so that you have another
group’s manila paper.
g. Now using comics like bubbles, give voice to
the inner being of the different community
stakeholders (not just the people but
included structures, nature, etc)
h. Do as in Task 1a and 1b,

Task 1d
i. Move the manila paper two time counter
clockwise so that you are back with your
group’s manila paper.
8. Observe the whole picture of the
community!
• How close (or far) is this picture with the
community you have in mind?
• How did “what you hear” and “what you
perceive the community feels” affected the
whole picture?
• What new insights do we have about
“knowing” our community context that this
process allowed us to learn?
9. Transition:
Notice that our charts are chaotic and
disorganized. There seems to be disorder
and no unifying element in the picture.
Most certainly, the chart is a close
reflection of our communities.
How do you think we can enhance this chart
so that it is more reflective of our HOPES
and DREAMS for our community?
11. Visioning
Task 2
a. In the middle of the chart, Draw a big HEART
Image.
b. Then “Listen to the community context” and
develop a provocative propositions of a
desired future – a dream statement – and
write inside the HEART image.
c. Post your charts and we will have a gallery
walk.
12. Group Reflection
• What are your thoughts and feelings about
this NEW chart?
• How does the HEART change the entire
picture?
• What is the significance of this HEART, in
relation to the community context?
13. Transition:
The Heart changes everything. People need
to have the same HEART if the
community is to move towards its HOPES
and DREAMS. The community needs to
articulate their ONE heart so that it
becomes the DOMINANT element in their
community. When people are ONE, the
possibility for communal engagement is
limitless!
15. Mobilization:
Eliciting communal participation (30 mins)
In the same group, assigned who will be Person A,
B and C.
Then listen to this instruction:
• You are to build a tower in 10 minutes.
• You will do this in complete silence
• Each will be given materials that you can share
with the group
• BUT you are not to get any materials from your
group mates. NOR can you ASK from them.
• YOU can share but you CAN NOT ask and get.
