2. THE “BANDO DE LA HUERTA” 2012
The most crowded typical party in the capital
of the Region, Murcia. This party is celebrated
the week after the Holy Week.
3. This year the parade has been the
longest, mass and universal parade of all
time.
This year “El bando de la huerta” has been
declared of International Tourist Interest
4. Queens of “la huerta” 2012 are:

5. In the garden of “Malecon” are located
the”barracas”.
They are small restaurants where people eat
typical food from Murcia
6. BURIAL OF THE SARDINE
It’s a grand parade which is celebrated four
days after “El Bando de la huerta”
The funeral ends with the burning of the
sardine
7. In the parade many gifts are thrown from the
floats to children and visitors.
8. In the parade many extras take part and
some of them are related to the topic of the
year.
