Exploiting the opportunity given by

Create an itinerant festival along the
streets and clubs of Pescara that
reanimates the city in a creative
way, giving a new prospect of
possible future.
3. Rockers/Hackers - the two souls of the festival
This festival is also and above all the
expression of two souls of Pescara:
music and hi-tech.
The music scene and the hi-tech community are
among the main propellers of the cultural life of the
city and are fundamental resources to count on for
the future: music has an important and
irreplaceable unifying function, while technology
plays a crucial role in innovation and in
communication and promotion of new project
regarding the city.
4. Promoters
the NPO Pescara 2.0
Non-profit organization that unites the main actors of
the local music scene, as well as businesses and
NGOs of the hi-tech and communication field.
the Equal project Booster
Project aimed at developing, both in the creative and in
the social and economic sense, the music scene of
Pescara.
5. The academic community
The university of Chieti and Pescara,
both at student and institutional
level, is considered as crucial for the
event organization and attendance.
Pescara 2.0 will seek the highest
possible participation of students as
voluntary staff and audience of the
concerts and conferences.

Museo delle Genti d’Abruzzo (Booster): hi-tech
area, showcases, workshop of Booster’s students,
conference (BarCamp) on music and technology
Along the streets of Pescara Vecchia (Largo dei
Frentani, piazzetta “Piano Terra”, Piazza Garibaldi,
“stairs” of via delle Caserme): theatre shows,
Baobab marching band, eco-performances and
games, readings, …
8. Hi-tech area (Booster)
The hi-tech area will be divided for
thematic areas:
Pescara Lug
Dyne.org Foundation
Second Life (on the Mediterranean Games)
Myspace, YouTube, blogging…
9. Museum Auditorium (Booster)
Booster will also organize:
Workshop/final performance of the Booster
students (Thursday, happy hour time) after a three
days’ workshop with a renown musician (the singer-songwriter Paolo
Benvegnù, professor in Booster courses)
Showcase “the best of underground music in
Abruzzo” (Friday, happy hour time): concert of the
three best underground bands in Abruzzo, selected by local promoters
(probably coordinated by an external president).
National level conference [BarCamp?] on music
and technology (Saturday)

CLUBS
Friday night all clubs involved in the festival will
have connected dj sets and a common drink card
(“Pescara da bar”) that will provide the right to
get a final award (t-shirt/gadget) to those who
will conclude “the tour”.

EX COFA (formerly a wholesale fruit and
vegetable market)
The location for the evening and night concerts and
activities, external to the old city centre, will be the
so-called ExCofa (from 8 p.m.):
indoor: Post industrial Agorà-suk (ethnic
cooking, eco-activities and games, stalls, visual art installations,
dj sets, concerts, theatre shows, bookshops, art expressions,
NGOs area, etc.)
outdoor: stage for concerts
12. Main concerts
Thursday: acoustic performance in the
University Auditorium (?)
Friday: general public oriented concert
(funded by the City Council)
Saturday (Tranceandance): local creativity
event based on the theme of rhythm
(from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., involving different local
organizations and bands from the ethnic Baobab group to
a techno-rave collective)
13. InfoPoint
The InfoPoint of the festival will be at
the Museo delle Genti d’Abruzzo
(Booster location).
The programme of the festival, will be
projected in real time on the wall of
the building in front of the Museum.
