THE PAVILION FOR THE NEW YORK FAIR (LUCIO
COSTA/OSCAR NIEMEYER - 1938) IS AN IMPORTANT
BUILDING FROM THE 20TH CENTURY, BECAUSE OF
ITS SIGNIFICANCE IN THE BRAZILIAN HISTORY OF
MODERN ARCHITECTURE.
THE IDEA OF MODELING THIS BUILDING WAS
TO UNDERSTAND THE COMPLEXITY AND BEAUTY OF
THIS PROJECT.

THE ACADEMIC CENTER WAS THE FIRST DEVELOPED
PROJECT. IT WAS BASED ON THE WORK OF VILANOVA
ARTIGAS (ONE OF THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE BRAZILIAN
MODERN ARCHITECTURE MOVEMENT).THE BULDING RESTORES
SOME IMPORTANT ELEMENTS OF ARTIGA'S ARCHITECTURE.FOR
INSTANCE THE HORIZONTALITY, THE COMPOSITION WITH
DIFFERENT LEVELS INSIDE THE BUILDING, AND THE USE OF
<<COBOGO>> (AN ELEMENT THAT PROTECTS THE BUILDING
FROM DIRECT SUNLIGHT).

SUBJECT: PROJECT II
THIS PROJECT IS A PROPOSAL OF AN OPEN SCHOOL
WITH AN ORGANIC DESIGN THAT HAS THE OBJECTIVE
OF EXPLORING THE CRIATIVITY OF THE STUDENTS.
THE SPIRAL WAS INTRODUCED ON THE PLAN USING
THE GEOMETRY WITH THE GOLDEN NUMBER. THE
FOLLOWING GEOMETRIC FORM WITH THE RAMP IN MAIN
POSITION WAS USED TO BE A SYMBOLISM OF THE
DEVELOPMENT.
ON THE FIRST FLOOR, THERE IS A SERVICE AREA,
A DINING-HALL, 2 CLASSROOMS FOR ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL, AND TOILETS. THE LIBRARY, THE
AUDITORIUM AND FIVE CLASSROOMS FOR MIDDLE
SCHOOL ARE LOCATED IN THE SECOND FLOOR.

ACCORDING TO THE HOUSES OF MIES VAN DER ROHE
THE OBJECTIVE WAS TO PROJECT 4 HOUSES THAT
COULD TRANSMIT AN INTERIOR ATMOSPHERE WHICH
EACH ROOM COULD SEE A COURT.
THE PLAN IS DEVELOPED UNDER THE FIBONACCI
SEQUENCE THAT CONSTRUCTS SQUARES - WHICH THE
FIRST ONE IS THE BATHROOM - THAT ARE RELATED TO
EACH OTHER ACCORDING TO THE PARAMETER SHOWN
BELOW.

SUBJECT: INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP OF URBAN DESIGN
[TEAM WORK]
THE PROJECT WAS DEVELOPED FOR AN INTERNATIONAL
WORKSHOP, REALIZED IN LONDRINA-BRAZIL 2009.
THE ADVISERS WERE JAN B. ZWIEJSKI (UNIVERSIT
LAVAL), JORGE DANIEL DE MELO MOURA AND MILENA
KANASHIRO (UEL).
THE PURPOSE WAS TO CONNECT THE NEIGHBORHOOD
GLEBA PALHANO WITH THE WEST NEIGHBORHOOD, THE
LAKE AND THE PRINCIPAL STREETS OF THE CITY.
THE MAIN IDEA WAS TO
ESTIMULATE THE TWO AXIS.

SUBJECT: PROJECT III
THE DOUGH FROM THE PIZZA WAS CREATED BY THE
EGYPTIANS AND THE IDEA OF THIS DISH WAS
DEVELOPED BY THE ITALIANS. THE FIRST AND
PRINCIPAL THOUGHT WAS TO INITIATE THE PROJECT
WITH STRUCTURES SUCH AS THE ARCHED ROOF, WHICH
WAS USED BY THE EGYPTIANS TO BUILD THEIR HOUSES
WITH THE ADOBE BRICK. THE MOST NATURAL CURVE IS
THE ONE THAT IS DRAWN NEAR THE PARABLE.
THE ENVIRONMENT IS, ON EAST, A BIG
AVENUE WITH TALL BUILDINGS AND A
VALLEY WITH SEVERAL TREES ON WEST.
THE STRUCTURE STARTS ON EAST WITH
NINE BEAMS ON THE TOP OF SEVEN
PORTICOS AND FINALIZES ON WEST WITH
CURVED BEAMS. EACH BEAM HAS A DIFFERENT
CURVATURE IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH THE
PARABLE SHAPE.
THE BUILDING SITE WAS CUT
SO THE FIRST FLOOR IS HALF
BURIED. THAT AREA WILL BE
USED FOR CUSTOMER PARKING
AND FOOD RECEPTION.

THE PROJECT WAS DEVELOPED ON ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT
CORNERS IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF LONDRINA. THE
PROJECT HAS A SIMPLE STANDARD PAVEMENT PLAN
THAT PROVIDES THE BEST VIEW
TO EVERY COMMERCIAL
ROOM. THE BASE HAS A COMMERCIAL AREA WITH
100 M OF STORES WHICH HAVE A DOUBLE CEILING
HEIGHT.THE BUILDING WITH 23 LEVELS HAS A TWO
LEVEL PARKING GARAGE WHICH THE SECOND ONE IS
EXCLUSIVE FOR OFFICES.

SUBJECT: BULDINGS TECNIQUE
MADE OF WOOD FRAMES WITH DOUBLE-LAYER COATING
WALLS THAT PROVIDES THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC
PERFORMANCE, THE BUILDING SYSTEM OF THE HOUSE
IS SELF-SUPPORTING IN CAPTURATION AND TREATMENT
OF WATER BY THE GREENROOF. BESIDES, IT APPLIES
A NEW TECHNOLOGY TO GENERATE EFFICIENT SOLAR
ENERGY IN BRAZIL DUE TO THE ABUNDANCE OF SUNLIGHT.
THE HOUSE ACCOMMODATES FOUR PEOPLE AND IT HAS 40 M
THE FURNITURE CAN BE PUT INSIDE WARDROBES IN ORDER
TO SAVE SPACE, BECAUSE OF THE SMALL PLAN. THE VISION
OF THE PROJECT IS TO ACHIEVE AN OPEN SPACE THAT PROVIDES
FREEDOM FOR THE OCCUPANTS.

THE CONCEPT OF THE HOUSE WAS TO BUILD AN
INTEGRATED NEIGHBOURHOOD. THE HOUSES ARE ONE-
SIDE GEMINATED AND IN THE MIDDLE OF EACH TWO
HOUSES THERE IS A YARD. THE SOUTH HAS A
RETAINING WALL MADE OF USED TYRES.
PEOPLE CAN WALK THROUGH THE YARD, ON SIDEWALKS
IN BETWEEN HOUSES, ON THE GREEN ROOFS AND EVEN
BETWEEN THEM, ON THE FOOTBRIDGES.

LOTS division PLAN
SUBJECT: URBANISM III
ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF LAND DIVISION,
THE DIVISION INTO LOTS MAKES THE AMPLE
SPACE POSSIBLE LIKE A NET OF ROADS TO
CARS AND PEDESTRIANS, AND AMPLE SPACE
OF EXISTING FOREST PRESERVATION, AS A
SIGNIFICANT LEISURE AREA. THE POSSIBLE
PATHS CREATE A PLOT OF PARALLEL AND
PERPENDICULAR LINES THAT ALLOW THE
ORDERLY DISPLACEMENT AND ORTHOGONAL
FLOW IN ALL DIRECTIONS.
THE BLOCKS ARE DISTRIBUTED INTO
RECTANGLES WHICH HAVE EACH LOT FACING
BOTH STREETS, PROVIDING THE QUALITY
OF THE PROPOSED SPACE. ONE CAN PROPOSE
654 DWELLINGS IN AN AREA OF 283386.5 M .²
