Funky Gong is Min oru Tsun oda . Since th e 80’ s h e was the vocalist and guitarist of an alternative rock band
w hich l ead him to b ec o ming th e guitarist in an el ectro - rock unit JOUJOUKA with DJ Tsuyoshi in 1998.
Around the sam e tim e h e was als o djing and has played at ev ery big ev ent g oing including Fuji Rock and
h e has als o played amazing s ets for 2 years running o n Bali Island at Ne w Years Eve parties . As an artist h e
is inn ovative and c on stantly ev olving . Since around 2004 h e b egan inc orp orating his guitar playing in his
DJ s ets and tries to expl ore n e w musical territory in real time . P e o pl e l ove him and his funky el ectro s ou nd
in th e clubs and parties h ere in Japan . He is c onstantly busy with making tracks and d oing remixes for his
o w n s ol o project as w ell as for projects with Joujouka. H e rel eas ed o n e of his s ol o tracks TAKE IT TO THE
FIRE, w orld wid e o n th e Tsuyoshi ’ s l ocal MAD SKIPPERS lab el in 2004 und er th e artist nam e Min oru . In
2007 h e rel eas ed BURNING feat. Ninjarette und er th e nam e Funky Gong with oth er rel eas es and a s ol o
