Greetings Fellow Lions,
Our first meeting of January was held on Thursday, January 3rd at 6:30 pm at University Place
on the campus of Potomac State College. District Governor Barb and her husband, Lion Jack
(aka Houdini) were special guests at our meeting. DG Barb recognized several of the Keyser
Lions – James Goldsworthy, Pat Bane, Joe Bane, and Terry Mangold – for their service. Check
out the picture on the Keyser Lions Facebook page. At this same meeting Lions Sandy Parker,
Dallas Adams, and Jeremy Taylor gave updates on the establishment of a Lions Quest Program
for Mineral County. See the information below about the upcoming workshops on February 25th.
Our second meeting took place on January 17th at the same time and place. Our guest speaker
was our fearless leader, Lion Greg’s better half, Dr. Cassie Lynch. She gave a very informative
presentation about steps we can take to avoid or reduce the symptoms of the flu and some of the other
nasty bugs that are going around this time of year. She suggested that you can find good infor-
mation about the flu on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website (www.cdc.gov/flu).
Here are some upcoming events that you might want to put on your calendar as well:
