34. The Cause of the Problem it the Marketplace The marketplace is extremely fragmented, which makes it difficult for a production facility or a broadcaster to set up an integrated and cost effective solution.

Issue N°2 - Poor video quality While the current “best practices” in terms of videocompression may be sufficient for talking heads, they show very low tolerance to moving or complex images. -> Encoding for over the top distribution requires extremely variable bitrate encoding and large GOP sizes.

It is difficult or impossible to automatically enable item-based viewing and no metadata is available to enable interactive search and retrieval of items. -> The next generation of content production systems needs support for model-driven development, resulting in custumisable and automatically re-produced versions of the master
