2. The history behind Guy Fawkes
I’ll tell you all a story, once in the 1570s there was a baby
born in York. The babies mother decided to name him
Guido Fawkes.
When Guido Fawkes was growing up people just called him
Guy Fawkes because that would just be much easier.
They lived on a street named Stonegate in York , and he
lived there happily. But one day, on the 5th of November,
he decided to blow up the Houses of Parliament. He did
not succeed.
He was hung on 31st of January 1606. So from this day we
have celebrated the 5th of November because of the failed
attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament.
3. Where is Guy Fawkes

The United Kingdom celebrates it by
dressing up a man full of straw in old
clothes(it’s supposed to be Guy Fawkes!)
and put him in a wheelbarrow
wheeling him around the town saying
“Penny for the guy!” then later put him
on the bonfire.
6. How my family make it special
My family and I celebrate Guy Fawkes by
having our entire family come over for a
BQQ and Fireworks.
We always go silly and buy HEAPS of
fireworks(as much as we can carry!)to last
us for other celebrations like, Christmas,
New Years, Birthdays and other BQQ’s
I love Guy Fawkes!!!!!!!
