Urbano lifestyle homesites a hit at Trinity
The second Urbano precinct was released at Trinity at Alkimos on January 26, 2013, with buyers
flocking to snap up the fifteen ‘urban lifestyle’ house and land packages at LWP Property Group’s
coastal residential development.
The turnkey terraced homes will be constructed on easy-care homesites by leading Perth builders
Dreamstart, Homebuyers Centre and Affordable Living.
“With more people seeking an urban, inner city lifestyle, our Urbano precincts are meeting that need
out in the suburbs,” said Danny Murphy, Managing Director, LWP Property Group.
LWP launched the first of its Urbano lifestyle precincts in master-planned developments – Ellenbrook,
The Glades at Byford and Trinity at Alkimos – in March 2012.
Mr Murphy said that LWP developed the Urbano precincts as a direct response to the most recent
Australian Bureau of Statistics trends. Census data shows that people are living in smaller households,
with two thirds of Perth people living in one or two person households; and that they are travelling
more – whether for work or pleasure, the Census data shows the number of trips being taken has
increased exponentially.
“A home with low maintenance gardens, close to cafes, shops and sportsgrounds, can be ideal for
couples and small families, retirees, and also FIFO workers – some of whom need a lock-up-and-leave
home,” he said.
“Traditionally, the only locations available for this type of living were in older areas near the city with
expensive price tags.
“Urbano precincts are affordable because they are in the suburbs but they will offer all the same
benefits of places to eat, shop and socialise – all within walking distance – as the community comes of
age,” said Mr Murphy.
According to Mr Jim Karakatsanakis, Senior Project Manager, LWP, astute investors have also been
interested in Trinity’s larger Urbano blocks as the 3x2 homes offer the prospect of good rental returns,
expected to increase as the Village Centre cafes, shops and facilities start to appear.
Trinity’s Urbano precincts have been integrated into its village centre, on the doorstep of future shops,
cafes, community centres and parklands, and utilise feature brick and timber to tie in with the new
planned commercial building and community centre.
Each home features a low maintenance courtyard, front yard landscaping, floor coverings, painting and
quality appliances, allowing people to simply move in on completion.
“Sales have been strong at Trinity throughout the last year, with LWP releasing a stage per month to
keep up with demand” said Mr Karakatsanakis.
“All of the 15 packages sold in this second release of Urbano at Trinity were priced from $277,550 and
on 180sqm up to 348sqm green-titled lots,” Mr Karakatsanakis continued.
“We expect to release another Urbano precinct in the next few months,” said Mr Karakatsanakis.
“People can register their interest in advance at Urbano.com.au.”
