2. - plegia
 Definition: paralysis
Example:
Hemi- (half) + -plegia = Hemiplegia
 paralysis on only half, or one side of
the body.

3. -algesia
 Definition: pain, sensitivity
 Example:
 An- (without) + -algesia = Analgesia
◦ without pain or sensation.

4. - taxia
 Definition: muscular coordination
 Example:
 A- (without, away from) + -taxia = Ataxia
◦ Lack of muscle coordination.

5. -paresis
 Definition: weakness.
 Example:
 Mono- (one) + -paresis = Monoparesis
◦ Weakness of one.

6. -phasia
 Definition: speech
 Example:
 Dys- (painful, difficult) + -phasia =Dysphasia.
◦ Having difficult speech.

7. -esthesia
 Definition: feeling, sensation
 Example:
 Hyper- (over, above) + -esthesia =
Hyperesthesia.
◦ Excessive sensations.
