In the Subscription field, you can set your subscription preference on whether or not
you would like to receive email notifications for messages posted in this forum.
(Please note that the setting will take effect immediately once it is selected until you change it again.)

By default, Send me email copies of posts to this forum is set.
It means that you will receive an email notification whenever a message is posted in the forum.

If the Mail now check box is checked, the email notification will be sent to the course participants
immediately after you have posted the message.

Lastly, click on the Post to forum button to finish.

you will be reminded that you will have 30 minutes to edit your post.You can revise your post within this period if you wish to.

Click on the Continue button to return to the discussion page.

(i.e. the original post that the messages are replying to), click on the Show parent button.

You can also split a discussion at any particular post using the Split function. Click on the Split button.

A new discussion is formed and you are advised to rename it. Type the name of the new discussion in the Discussion name field,
say ‘Teachers as Role Models’ in this case. Then click on the Split button to confirm.

The selected post will then become a new discussion topic. The posts replying to it will also be transferred to this new discussion.
