I ’m excited to lead this discussion today about course e-portfolios for a variety of reasons. This biggest one is because when I observe and interact with students across campus, I’m constantly hearing them say things like “I don’t know why we’re doing this stupid assignment.” Is suppose the only thing scarier than that concept itself is the absence of it because they are assigned a traditional research paper or presentation that they are simply accustomed to not questioning. The greatest value of course e-portfolios is that it creates a framework in which students must look at their course work as interconnected and relational. Of course, course portfolios have many other advantages. Let ’s look at the value of course portfolios within its definition. So what is a course portfolio?
