1. Important Schedule Changes
Changes are listed in date order. Be sure to mark your calendar with these changes.

Monday, October 21st – Jambalaya & Bears and Belugas – The cooking class on Jambalaya will
be in the morning from 10:00-11:30 in the kitchen HSC 105. Bears and Belugas will be held
Monday afternoon from 1:30-3:00 in our classroom HSC 106.
Tuesday, October 22nd – Medicare Survival – A “new class” is added to the Fall Schedule. This will
be a class on understanding the new rules of Medicare. Class will be led by Toni King, author of
Medicare Survival Guide. Class will be on Tuesday, October 22 nd, 10:00-12:00 in HSC 106.
Wednesday, October 23rd – The EquuSearch class will be moved to a later date in order to
have a program with special guest speaker Mr. Zoly Zamir. Mr. Zamir will speak to our group about
his experiences during WWII. He was a young Jewish boy in Romania prior to and after the Nazi presence in
Romania during WWII. Since the war interrupted his education, he looked for work and soon found a job at an
elegant hotel. Throughout the war, Mr. Zamir was able to maintain his safety by using a false identity and
bribery. His ingenuity helped him escape the concentration camps of the Holocaust.
Thursday, October 31st – Burmese Coconut Noodles – Remember to make the date/time change
mentioned above.
Monday, November 4th – Women on Fire – This class with Professors Holmes and O’Brien is
moved from the CASA building to Conference Rooms 151-152. Mark this “location” change on your
calendar.
Tuesday, November 5th – Photo Class 5 of 5 – Remember to make the “date” change for the
Photography class as shown above. Class 5 will be in our classroom at 10:00 on November 5th.
