1. A New Friend

2. Guess what, boys and girls? I have a new
friend at my house. Her name is Abbie. She is a
kitty! I’m not sure if I like her or not!

3. My daddy gives her lots of attention. He
is trying to teach me to be nice to her.

4. Everytime I try to play with Abbie she just
runs away!

5. I really want to get to know her better.
She is different from me. I just want to
look closely.

6. Sometimes when I try to play with her
she acts sleepy! I think she is ignoring
me!

7. She even growls and hisses at me. My
goodness that is rude! I just want to be
friends!

8. I’m not sure if this is fair! I used to be
the only one in the house getting all the
playtime. This is going to be hard!

9. Daddy never plays fishing with me!
Abbie seems to be having all the fun!

10. Well, she is very cute! Maybe a little
friendly kiss once in awhile might be
okay! I’ll try to be friends with Abbie!
