22. In an effort to make our school safer, the Van Buren
School District has added an electronic entry system to
the front entrance of Northridge Middle School.
Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29th, the front
entrance at Northridge Middle School will be locked at
8:15 a.m. and all students and visitors will be required
to “buzz-in” using the intercom system located on the
wall next to the left set of entrance doors.
This system has been put in place to help ensure the
safety of our students. I appreciate all your effort in
helping make Northridge Middle School safer.

27. Van Buren High School Project Graduation
is proud to sponsor the 2014 Miss Baby,
Miss Petite, Miss Tiny, Miss Little, and Miss
Junior Van Buren Pageant. The Miss Junior
category is for students in grades 6, 7, and
8. This year’s event will be held on
Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the
Van Buren Fine Arts Center. Applications
can be picked up in the NMS office.
Deadline for registration is Monday, March
31.
28. High School Golf Tryouts will begin the
Monday after Spring Break. There will be a
mandatory golf tryout meeting in the
Butterfield Commons on Thursday, March
20, @ 5:30 for those interested in trying out.
