Who we are:
Studio Lotus is a multidisciplinary design practice whose work seamlessly weaves Interior and
Exterior spaces, from large Architectural ideas to the smallest of Furniture details.
Studio Lotus works on the principles of Conscious design – an approach that celebrates local resources,
cultural influences and a keen sensitivity to the impact on all stakeholders. The firm prides itself on its
collaborative work environment, which brings the best out from within the team of 45 talented and
highly committed individuals from multiple disciplines, working together in the domain of Interior
Design & Spatial Narratives.
02 | FIRM QUALIFICATIONS
The firm has won numerous awards Nationally and Globally and its projects have been
extensively published in various publications in India and abroad. Some of its accomplishments include
World Holiday Building of the Year at the World Architecture Festival Barcelona, DFA Grand Jury Award
(Hong Kong) 2012 and IIID Design Practice of the year in 2009 and 2011, Awards in Hospitality Design
and Commercial Architecture at Perspective Global Awards (Hong Kong), silver at the Asia Pacific Interior
Design Awards, Inside Outside magazine - Designer of the Year, featured in Wallpaper* Indian
architectural practices of the future, amongst several others.
Successfully executed projects include the internationally acclaimed hotel RAAS Jodhpur (on the global
Conde Nast Traveler Hot List for 2010,2011) and Competition Winning Entry for the National Police
Memorial at New Delhi, several award winning projects in Hospitality (such as Shiro Delhi, KeyaKainoosh, Khaaja Chowk, Magique, Café Diva, Diva and Hard Rock Cafe Delhi); in Retail (the Good Earth
& Rivet stores in Delhi and Bangalore, the Rohit Bal, Rajesh Pratap, and Gaurav Gupta Stores at Emporio
in Delhi) in adaptive reuse (multiple projects at the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur), Interiors of the Devi
Arts Foundation Gurgaon, the Khoj Arts foundation Khirkee, and the Vardan Wellness Centre for the
Times Group among others.
The firm is currently engaged in projects of various scales and typologies in multiple cities including a 50
suite boutique hotel in the hills, Raas Kangra, a 130 room luxury Hotel in Goa, an artist’s studio, the new

03 | KEY PERSONNEL
AMBRISH ARORA
CEO & DESIGN PRINCIPAL
Ambrish has a domain experience of over 20 years and in the course of his career he has worked in India
and abroad as part of Design teams on diverse projects such as Hotels, F&B spaces, Retail design, Offices,
Residences, Museums & Exhibitions including a project in the World Expo 2000 in Hanover, Lightweight
structures, Furniture, and Two European Feature films.
Ambrish trained and worked as a Boat designer before turning his interest to Spatial & Interior Design. He
was a partner at Design Habit, a leading exhibit design firm in New Delhi for 3 years, before setting up
Studio Lotus in June 2002. He has also served as visiting faculty to NIFT Delhi, Consultant to NID
Ahmedabad and Visiting Juror to School of Interior Design CEPT Ahmedabad apart from being a keynote
speaker at several design events in India and abroad.
SIDHARTH TALWAR
PARTNER & DESIGN PRINCIPAL
Sidhartha is an Architect with a domain experience of 15 years. Over the years he has worked on &
headed diverse projects including exhibitions, retail and corporate interiors, & thematic events, taking
them from concept to execution. His core strengths and passion lies in articulating space, project detailing
& implementation.
An Architect from TVB School of Habitat Studies, Delhi; Sidhartha started his career with the Architect,
Gautam Bhatia in 1996. He gained interest in exploring other mediums of spatial expression that led him
to work with exhibition design firm Oriole in 1998 and two years later moved on to Design Habit as a
Senior Design Associate. He has been a Visiting faculty to the TVB School of Habitat Studies.

4. ANKUR CHOKSI
PARTNER & DESIGN PRINCIPAL
Ankur has over 15 years of experience in handling diverse projects such as Retail & Hospitality
environments, Workspaces, Brand Identities, Environmental graphics to Events, Exhibitions & Museums.
His passion lies in stretching the conceptual possibilities of a project and its translation all the way to the
last detail of the project.
Ankur is a Graphic Designer trained at NID, Ahmedabad and has had a fascination for space and dexterity
in multiple media from his diploma days. He has worked as a Senior Design Associate with Design Habit,
an Exhibit Design firm in Delhi and his interest in pure Graphic Design led him to venture into the Print
medium for over a year with Itu Chaudhuri Design, Delhi. He has been a Visiting faculty to NIFT Delhi and
has presented at several design events in India.
ARUN KULLU
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
Arun has designed lines of furniture for over 30 projects including hotels, restaurants, and retail spaces in
his experience of over 13 years. With a keen eye for detail, his passion lies in merging industrial processes
with tactile finishes. At Studio Lotus he heads the team for detailing furniture and fixtures.
A trained furniture designer from NID, Ahmedabad; for three years he collaborated with furniture
manufacturing companies in producing designs for the export market in Europe and USA before joining
hands with Studio Lotus.
04 | TEAM & FACILITIES
Currently the Studio Lotus team consists of 45 people - three Design Principals, an Associate, 4 Team
Leads, 15 Project Architects/Designers, 9 Draftsmen, 2 Visualization (3D) & Graphic Production personnel,
4 interns, 3 people in the Management role and 4 support staff.
The Design studio is located in a 3,800 sft facility spread over two-storey at Lado Sarai, in South Delhi.
The office runs both PC and Mac platforms using the latest Auto-CAD software and the latest graphics
programs. We use in-house high-speed color plotters for large format printing and we have high-speed
Internet access and typical copy, fax and mail facilities. The firm is committed to a paperless
environment whenever possible.
Studio Lotus operates on a secure server and centralized file management software where project
minutes, documents, schedules, drawings and all other communications are stored and updated.
