3. Multiplication means that you are adding together
the same number a specific amount of times.
Sound confusing? It’s not!

4. Consider the problems 2 x 3
The first number (2) is how many times you will be adding together a
number, or how many groups there are.
The second number (3) is that number that you will be adding together
that amount of times.
So, if you add together 2 groups of 3 you get…

5. Consider the problem 3 x 4
The first number always tells you how many groups there are, so here we
have 3 groups.
The seconds number always tells you how many are in each group, so
there are 4 in each groups.
