4. Have you ever wonder why when you running or jumping
you get easily tired . Well today you about to find out ?
The function of the human respiratory system is to
transport air into the lungs and to facilitate the diffusion
of Oxygen into the blood stream. Its also receives waste
Carbon Dioxide from the blood and exhales it.
The respiratory system consists of the following parts,
divided into the upper and lower respiratory tracts:
5. Parts of the Upper Respiratory Tract
In the upper system of the respiratory this are
the following body parts that the person must
know and their functions
Mouth, nose & nasal cavity: The function of this part
of the system is to warm, filter and moisten the incoming
air
Pharynx: Here the throat divides into the trachea (wind
pipe) and oesophagus (food pipe).
6. Parts of the Lower Respiratory Tract
Trachea: Also known as the windpipe this is the tube
which carries air from the throat into the lungs
Bronchi: The trachea divides into two tubes called
bronchi, one entering the left and one entering the
right lung. The left bronchi is narrower, longer and
more horizontal than the right.
7. Bronchioles: Tertiary bronchi continue to divide and become
bronchioles, very narrow tubes, less than 1 millimeter in diameter.
Diaphragm: The diaphragm is a broad band of muscle which sits
underneath the lungs, attaching to the lower ribs, sternum and
lumbar spine and forming the cavity
In each and every activity or exercise you must firstly do your
warms up to avoid running out of gas in the middle of the exercise.
This helps your lungs to function at an appropriate pace for each
necessary exercise that is required. Always start from the lower pace
and increase with exercise .
When you breath in and out of your lungs this is what happens and
the dangers included when you did not start from the lower pace .
8. Ladies and gentlemen physical education should be all
about fun and enjoyment to the kids not some kind of
punishment
If learners are properly trained and well introduce in each
and every exercises from the warms up to the end of the
exercises this is what you will see in your learners
