4. Background Minnesota State Colleges and Universities currently has 32 colleges and universities in its system. Each college has its own IT data center. MNSCU faced a proposed reduction in state funding. This project focused on designing and implementing a standardized Green IT data center.
5. Project Goals Consolidate current information technology services into a more energy efficient system Reduce cost of energy and receive a good return on investment in new equipment Allow MNSCU to be a proactive leader in the state by reducing energy consumption
