This document provides instructions for creating a digital artwork using GIMP image editing software. It describes using GIMP to detect edges and trace contours from a source image onto paper. The scanned artwork is then opened in GIMP, layers are created for hairs, skin, and background, and the background layer is made opaque while other layers are transparent to create an "all in one" digital image with different elements on separate layers.
