James Madison 4th president of the US, he lived in the Octagon
House, and his wife Dolly saved a portrait of George Washington.
Charles L’ Enfant worked with George Washington DC as a
designer to remodel Washington DC, hired and fired by George
Washington, and he is buried at Arlington National cemetery.
Benjamin Banneker he took over when Charles L’ Enfant was fired.
He was black which was incredible at this time in history. Andrew
Ellicott helped take over with Benjamin Banneker after L’ Enfant
was fired. James Smithson funded $$$$$$ the Smithsonian
Museums. He was from England!!!
