Dear Judges,
My name is Alexis Cargle. My goals are to graduate high school and go to college to
study in a medical field. My senior project was on the treatment of ACL injuries. I chose
this topic because I was interested in physical therapy. I wanted to see what the benefits
were of having treatment done.
My product is a medical chart of a theoretical patient’s physical therapy treatment. My
research paper was on everything about ACL injuries. The research ties in well with my
product of the treatment for ACL injuries. I overcame my struggle with learning how to
be professional. I also learned that my previous habits of procrastination will hurt my
project. I overcame my struggles and was able to achieve the success I wanted for my
product.
My research relates to the career of physical therapy. I learned that the longer I waited to
do something the worse my work was. Before this project, I was dead set on becoming a
physical therapist. However, through this project I discovered that this career was not for
me. I do not plan on pursuing this career in college, but I will not throw it out completely.
This senior project was helpful for me because it showed me that I was not cut out for
becoming a physical therapist. This project benefited me because now I will not waste all
my time on studying for a degree I have no desire to have. Thank you for your time.
